Family history research traditionally occurred in family attics, courthouses, libraries, and archives. While these repositories remain valuable and often critical avenues for successful family history research, online repositories with pointers to original sources, images of source documents, and previously difficult to find information are rapidly increasing. This lecture will provide an overview of some of the more popular online repositories like Ancestry and Family Search, the advantages and dangers of using these resources, and other lesser known resources that may provide significant insights into your family's history
